Wow! It's been almost two months since my last post! I had the best of intentions, but it has been a whirlwind summer. This post will just be a little catch-up, just to give you some "snapshots" of what I've been up to this summer, and then hopefully (sigh), I will be a more faithful blogger this fall. [Hint: If you are only interested in photos of crochet, scroll down a bit.]
I'm sure you recognized it, but above is a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge, taken over Labor Day weekend from Cavallo Point in Sausalito, California. Most of my extended family traveled out there for my brother's wedding and we had a beautiful time together.

But before our season-ending trip to Sausalito, I had a very busy summer crocheting. This was due in large part to the happy news that there are now three lovely little stores in Michigan that are selling my creations. As I announced a while ago, I am at the Yellow Door Art Market in Berkley, and as of July, my crocheted goodies can also be purchased at Poesy Gallery in Royal Oak and The Eyrie in Ypsilanti. All of these stores dedicate themselves to selling the handmade work of local artisans.
Also, just before our trip to Sausalito, the weekend of August 23-24, I participated in Summer Faire at the Heavenly Scent Herb Farm in Fenton, Michigan.

And now for some "snapshots" of some of the creations I crocheted over the summer. This is just a sampling of items I made to take to the shops and Summer Faire. There are lots and lots of photos here -- some are not my best -- but they will give you an idea of what I have been up to the past couple of months.
Okay. End of the crochet photo show! If you have any questions about any of my creations, just post them in the comments section, and I will do my best to answer.
This look at snapshots of my summer months would not be complete without mentioning two additional events. First, there was the family celebration of my mom's 80th birthday!
Don't know if I've mentioned it here before, but I am the oldest of seven children. Between us all, we've given my mom eleven grandchildren, and there are two more (twins) on the way! My mom was so happy when all of us came together to throw her a birthday party! She continues to be a vibrant, talented, very active, loving and giving mother and grandmother, and we are so blessed to have her in our lives!
Finally, once again, the Detroit Tigers have kept my interest this summer! My husband and I were able to see a few of their games at Comerica Park.
Things have been a bit dicey for the Tigers of late, but I am confident they will get into the post-season. Go Tigers!
