New Discoveries in Crochet and Beading Artists

I had a great time at Leon & Lulu's Artists Market last weekend! What a cool place and what a wonderful gathering of creative Michigan artisans.  I saw so many beautiful things and met such talented people.

Crochet and beads are two of my favorite things.  At the Artiststs' Market, I met virtuoso creators in both mediums.  Jennifer Xerri of Starlily Creations creates wonderful, wearable crocheted items in a smorgasbord of colors and textures.

She created a unique and highly versatile piece called the scarflette (I loved them and had to purchase one for myself).  They can be worn around the neck in different configurations or around the head.  The flower clip is removable and each one features a vintage button or piece of jewelry in the center.  No two are alike!

Patrice Pannill of HSIA Designs was another one of the talented artists I met at Leon & Lulu's.  She does some of the most amazingly beautiful work with beads that I have ever seen!  She creates pins, pendants, cuffs, and purses.  Her work is all free form, and features a gorgeous palette of colors and textures.

I hope to be able to return to Leon & Lulu's for their next Artists' Market in June.  It was an experience worth repeating!
